PRINT: All Hockey Brands

I really like this ad. This is an idea I've had for a long time now... It kept getting swept under the rug. I was persistent, got my way and it turned out exactly how I'd hoped.

Graphic artist got a gold star, a beer and several high-fives for this one.

The NEW TotalHockey.net (or .com)

Our new website is the greatest thing since....

PRINT: The Hockey News Fans

The people that read this magazine, for the most part, are fans and not really players of the game. Especially for the NHL Draft issue, which is where this ad ran. I thought it would make sense to let the fans know that we have more than just equipment.

This is a scene I created in my own bedroom. And NO, those jerseys, sticks and poster are not mine. They's props yo

PRINT: Weightless Protection Program

This helmet amazes me. I was playing with the sample and couldn't get over how insanely light it is.

Somehow this thing is incredibly protective as well. I'd give the credit to the Bell Scientist for this one. (They designed it)

So, I thought it would be a good idea to have this ad be simple and NOT show all the lame scientific mumbo jumbo about why it's so great, and just imply it is insanely light/protective with a URL to a microsite people can go to if they want to read all the mumbo jumbo I wrote.

This ad is visually weak, I realize, but I am proud of the tagline.

PRINT: Warrior Bully Gloves

These are "Bully" gloves by Warrior.

I wanted to draw a scene that implies some kid (not even the bigger kid) dropped his gloves to get some extra lunch money.

Version 2 of the Bully Gloves is on its way and so is another ad.

PRINT: Blackout "limited edition" Stick by Easton

This stick is called the "Blackout." It's a limited edition of a very popular stick made by Easton.

So I thought it would be cool to have the ad look as though it is a picture of another ad from a magazine but the copy is crossed out with a sharpie, "blacking" it out.

The idea is strong, although the graphics on this one are sub-par.

Grow The Game Shirt

This is a shirt design I made and I am really proud of it... I'll explain.

One of our big initiatives at Total Hockey is our "Grow The Game" (GTG) campaign, which has many different parts to it, but the bulk of it is trying to grow the sport of hockey. I was in charge of making a tee shirt with the GTG theme for this hockey expo in Minnesota.

For this expo, we had a booth (basically trying to draw kid's/parent's attention to promote our brand) and in this booth was a blow-up boxing ring. This was something we thought would draw attention to us, and create a buzz among the young hockey players at the expo.

Sadly, the day the artwork was due for this shirt, we received some very sad news about a teenage boy losing his life in a fight (ice hockey fight) and here we are, about to promote... boxing (fighting) Well, it was too late to cancel our Blowup Boxing order, so my boss asks me if there was any way I could come up with a shirt that is anti-violence, yet coincides with our booth theme (hockey/boxing)
"You're kidding..." I said (He wasn't) "...then I'll do my best."

I had a couple hours, and this is what I came up with.

TV SPOT: Total Hockey Stick & Win Commercial

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iVfP8Xc5vYs

This is a commercial we made for a contest we held at Total Hockey. We made this with $0. My coworker, Andrea, was able to help me edit it (she's smart) but the concept, ideas, art and execution were all me.

I wanted to create something different and cool and NOT look like it costs nothing. I am proud of this spot! I hope you like it.

GREETING CARD: I love Puppies!

This is a pencil sketch I did for the Missouri Humane Society.

PRINT: Easton S17 Skate

This is an ad for the Stealth skate. I love doing simple things like this, playing with words.

Easton loved this ad.

"Keith, well done. We wish we were as clever as you."

PRINT: Bauer X60 Stick Ad

This is an ad for Bauer's new X-60 stick, which features "intelli-sense shot technology"
So I thought it would be cool to do a "Terminator perspective" type ad (artificial intelligence)

Arnold and I think it's cool. Hopefully you do too.
